Merton and Sutton Rethink Merton and Sutton Rethink is a branch of Rethink, the national organization for supporting people with severe mental illness and their carers. Merton and Sutton Rethink offers advice, information and support for carers and for service users, both at regular meetings and by telephone. Speakers at our meetings include psychiatrists, other mental health professionals, pharmacists and benefit advisers. We also circulate a monthly newsletter and organize regular social events.
If someone in your family is developing, or has a serious mental health problem such as schizophrenia or bi-polar disorder, do contact this friendly self-help group. We meet at the Wimbledon Guild, 30-32 Worple Road, Wimbledon at 7.30pm on the last Tuesday of every month. No referral is necessary, just come along. The group also supports the Wimbledon Wednesday Group, which is for service users and which meets every Wednesday from 5-8pm at the Wimbledon Guild, 30-32 Worple Road, Wimbledon. This Group is user-led and provides mutual support and friendship. All service users are very welcome. Merton and Sutton Rethink won the Pringle Rethink Group of the year award in 2008.
